    ....it would also cut down on all the required changes for having few parts to color or change once worn. could have typical metal textures and maybe be tintable so the Owner or subs can tint the whole thing because it would all theoretically be the same color?

    The concerns about display names could be an issue but i would still rather be known and see my Owner's display name than the standard SL legacy name. i created my account back when you had only so many last names to pick from. if people are worried about there being so many of the same nickname.. what about using the Display name (legacy name) like the secondlife viewers already do?
