You can use the Collar Menu’s leashing options to leash your pet to anything, or you can use the Convertible Leash Ring to leash her.

Leashing to anything without the Leash Ring

You can leash your pet to any inworld object, like a moving vehicle, a door or a tree.

1. Call up the Collar Menu by saying /1l (where l is lowercase L, for *l*eash; if necessary replace /1 with your custom command channel).
2. Collar Menu > leash to… > objects
3. The menu will show inworld objects closest to your pet (with distances, in meters, from your pet).
4. Choose the object to leash your pet to.

The leash will run to the geometric center of that object, which might be different from what you see visually as the center. Unfortunately this is an SL limitation and there is no way around that.

Tips

Tip: If you wish to leash your pet to a specific part of an object, you can rez a Leash Ring on the ground (or drop the Leash Ring), and then move the Ring till it is “inside” the object you want, so that the leash looks like it’s coming out of the area you wish to leash. You can hide the Leash Ring by saying /1hide and show the Leash Ring by saying /1show.

Tip: You can leash your pet to a moving vehicle, and she will be forced to move with the vehicle!

Re-leashing a leash without the Leash Ring

If your pet is leashed to an object, or to another pet, you can change leashing options by accessing the Releash Menu first:

• say “/1leash” and choose releash….
• click the SigCollar button on the HUD to access the Collar Menu.
  Collar Menu > leash…" > “releash…”.

On this page you choose the collar ring that you wish to releash to another ring. The collar ring symbols are arranged generally with the front ring (with two attachment points) at the top, the rear ring at the bottom, and so on, as if you were seeing the collar from the top.

After you have selected the collar ring you want to releash, you will get the specific Collar Ring Menu.

Adjusting leash length or switch collar ring

You can change leash length and collar ring by clicking the Leash Ring any time and using the Collar Ring Menu.
