Reset and Refresh Method

Did your HUD or gear suddenly stop working? Most of the time, it’s because the HUD is no longer talking to the gear or LULU Servers, or vice versa, due to some SL borkage.

If your gear’s been borked that way, try the reset and refresh method below. Don’t worry, all your settings (e.g. owner list, color and positioning, preferences) will be preserved.

Try each step (where possible) till it works, or if you prefer, go straight to the last step and start over with a fresh HUD & Gear. Starting over is the guaranteed solution against common SL borks, but takes the most time, where often a simple reset might do.

QUICK AND SIMPLE

1. Reset your HUD. This is the Magic Pill to most ills
    Click the white LULU logo. HUD menu > HELP… > reset… and reset the HUD. If it still doesn’t work...

2. Rez your gear. Simply rez a new set. That replaces the current, possibly borked worn set.

If it still doesn't work, try...

TRANSFER

3. Refresh your HUD. Try HUD menu > HELP… > New HUD…. Wear the new HUD and transfer all your gear over from your borked HUD.
(If you don’t see New HUD… in your menu, your HUD is too old. Go to the Update Switch and update your gear.)

RE-SETUP

4. Re-setup your gear HUD menu > HELP > resetup and re-setup the gear that is borked. If this still doesn’t work,

START OVER – FRESH HUD & GEAR

(starting over automatically includes Steps 1. To 4.)

5. Refresh your HUD & gear Go to the Update Switch and get a fresh set. Set up the gear again. Now you have completely new gear.
